About This Site

Peoria County Busted Mugshots is a private reference for people trying to locate an official booking record or understand where a recent arrest record is held. The information follows the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, the Peoria County Jail within the George P. Shadid Corrections Center, Illinois court and records systems, and the Illinois Department of Corrections. No gallery is hosted here, and no booking photo is copied or rehosted.

Purpose of the Project

Illinois makes many arrest and booking details available, but the right record depends on what happened after an arrest. The Sheriff's Corrections Division runs the adult county jail, and the county's Jail & Inmate Information page points to the current jail-record route. The Peoria County Records Portal separates jail records, bond records, warrants, and court searches. Those categories should not be treated as one record.

A booking entry can be different from an arrest report, a bond order, or a later court disposition. The Sheriff's FOIA process is the documented fallback for booking documents and photographs when the public portal does not show what is needed. The Illinois Department of Corrections search serves people in state custody or on parole, not someone who was just booked into the Peoria County Jail. This page gathers those distinctions and official paths without storing government records or creating a photo collection.

What the Pages Point To

The navigation is arranged around the agencies and record stages that matter in Peoria County. Each destination has a different job:

  • The county home page brings together the jail-record search, booking-record request path, current-custody cautions, court links, and state and federal routing.
  • Most Wanted Fugitives explains the Sheriff's warrant path and the limits of an incomplete or delayed public warrant listing.
  • Crime News describes local reporting as a selective lead, then routes readers back to official custody and court records.
  • Peoria, Chillicothe, and Bartonville have separate pages because city police records and county jail records are not the same file.
  • Illinois state custody, federal custody, immigration detention, court disposition, and written records requests each have their own official source and rules.

Limits of a Private Reference

This is an independently operated reference site. It is not the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, the Peoria County Jail, the George P. Shadid Corrections Center, the Illinois Department of Corrections, a court, or any other government agency. The official offices publish and control the records. They also decide whether a record is current, releasable, redacted, sealed, or otherwise restricted.

  • It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in custody.
  • It cannot confirm a current custody status or release date.
  • It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send money for another person.
  • It cannot give legal advice or decide what a charge or disposition means in a particular case.
  • It cannot promise that a phone number, address, fee, portal, or record is still current.

Only the originating office can confirm current custody, a release, a booking record, or a court result. Use the official agency link and verify important details before acting.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and result handling. If a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid signup, Peoria County Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee that helps support the reference pages. That fee does not give this site control over the partner's results, and it is not an endorsement of a particular result.
