Peoria County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office and not an arm of the Peoria County Sheriff's Office or jail. It cannot confirm custody, confirm a release, pull an official booking record, release a person, post bond, or change a court file. For an authoritative answer, contact the agency or court that holds the record.
Start With County Records
The county's official entry point is its Jail & Inmate Information page. It links to the public jail-record search. The Peoria County Records Portal also separates Jail Records, Jail Bond Records, Warrant Search, and court categories. A portal row is not a promise of current physical custody, and the public page does not document that every result contains a booking photograph.

Where to Look
Choose the office by record type and custody stage. A city police department may hold the incident report while the county Sheriff holds the jail booking record, and the Circuit Clerk holds the later court disposition.
- Current county custody: use the Jail Records Search or the inmate information line. The separate Jail Bond Records Search is for bond information, not a final court result.
- Booking documents or a booking photo: submit a written request through the Peoria County Sheriff's FOIA page or its JustFOIA request portal. Identify the full name, approximate arrest or booking date, and booking or case number when known. The county lists Booking Photos & Documents in its records inventory, but a response may be partial, redacted, or denied under an exemption.
- Peoria city incident records: contact the Peoria Police Records Unit at 309-494-8345, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Its FOIA route lists Peoria Police Department, Attn: Records-FOIA, 600 SW Adams Street, Peoria, IL 61602, and the city's FOIA page.
- Chillicothe or Bartonville incident records: use the Chillicothe Police FOIA page or the Bartonville Police Department page. Chillicothe requests go to 823 N Second Street, Chillicothe, IL 61523, attention to FOIA Officer Sgt. Doug Hahn at dhahn@chillicothepd.org. Bartonville lists 309-697-2323 and bpd@bartonville.org. If an adult was accepted into county detention, request the custody-side booking record from the Sheriff as well.
- Warrant or wanted status: check the county's Warrants page and the portal's Warrant Search, then verify with dispatch. The county says the list is incomplete and may lag. The Most Wanted Fugitives page is a separate public-safety route, not proof of current custody. Never approach or try to arrest anyone.
- Court dates and disposition: use the Peoria County Courts & Legal Services page and its public portal links. The Circuit Clerk route is 309-672-6000, and the courthouse is at 324 Main Street, Peoria, IL 61602. A disposition may be dismissal, acquittal, plea, sentence, or another court result, and it is separate from the original booking.
- State custody or parole: search the Illinois Department of Corrections Individual in Custody Search. IDOC covers people currently incarcerated or on parole. It is not the right search for a person just booked into the Peoria County Jail, and the public interface checked did not display a booking photo.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator for federal custody and ICE's Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody. BOP and ICE are separate systems, neither is a county jail roster, and neither public locator provides a general booking-photo search. ICE lists 1-888-351-4024 for detention information.
- Release or court-appearance alerts: the county's Public Data Portals page describes VINElink custody and case notifications at 1-866-566-8439. VINElink is an alert service, not a photo archive or a replacement for the jail record.
